OH Story

  • “It's the end of the month and it's usually a time when I look over my cases and ponder on the meaning of life.  The purpose of this email is to give a shout out to Deanna.   The last 2 cases that I closed successfully were with Deanna.  The fact that those were the 2 that helped me meet my "quota" makes them dearer to my heart, but that aside, I really appreciated Deanna's work. She stepped in on both these cases when Latasha stepped out to bring in a new life.  I didn't consider either of them easy cases. Deanna was very cool always, gave information when she had it and was on board with whatever plan we came up with to move forward.  She always spoke to, and of, these ladies with respect. I always appreciate how you work with my participants, all of them with individual difficulties, but I really felt Deanna deserves a special shout-out for these 2 successful closures!”
  • "I just wanted to check back in with you and give you an update. My son graduated from the welding program this past May and was able to obtain a full-time welding job where he has been working for the past 3 months. While going to school, he also continued working, which he enjoyed and had a very positive experience. Thank you so much for your work and helping to get him connected with a job fitting for him and helping him get connected with the Welding program. Your work and understanding of his strengths and need truly made a difference in his life these last few years. I am very appreciative and wanted to say Thank You again."

PA Story

  • “Matrix Pennsylvania Workforce Services staff recently wrapped up a very successful summer youth work experience program in Erie County. Fourteen high school age students successfully completed 90-hour work experiences with a national pharmacy chain. The students were assigned to one of five locations, where they worked an average of 10 hours per week for nine weeks from late June to mid-August under the supervision of a job coach. Throughout the summer, students learned customer service skills, as well as retail skills including inventory management, creating store displays, and updating store signage. The store staff took note of the students’ excellent work and multiple student workers received job offers at the end of the work experience. We look forward to seeing these students continue to thrive as they advance their careers.”
