New State Unemployment Penalties

The state unemployment agencies want to penalize and even fine your organization if you are not compliant to the new unemployment Section 252 Penalty Ruling now being enforced in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and nationwide. Do you know about this new legislation?

The state unemployment agencies are requesting more detail on appeals when you are administrating your unemployment claims, and they want the information sent electronically in a timely fashion.  Do you know how soon they want you to respond to unemployment claims now?

If you manage the unemployment claims for your organization, you are in charge of how much your company pays in unemployment taxes.   Do you know how the state comes up with these costs?

Unemployment tax is a controllable tax.  In the state of Ohio, you can pay as low as a .3% tax rate or as high as 8.4%.   In Kentucky, you can pay as low as 1% or as high as 10%.    Do you know there could be tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of dollars of savings you may be missing?

Do you know what your unemployment tax rate is for 2014 and how much you paid last year in unemployment costs? Or how much you will pay this year?   Did this cost go up or down over the last year?

The state unemployment agencies are required to implement a new national unemployment claims database system called SIDES that will revolutionize how you reply to unemployment claims in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and nationwide.  Are you ready to manage your unemployment claims through this system?

Let’s face it, there are so many changes coming in unemployment administration and costs are expected to increase by up to 60%.  If you do not know about these changes and cost reducing options, let’s talk so I can update you.
